2.      The planning phase At Fortis Precast Solutions

Here you will have to share your idea with our team of engineers, who will proceed to translate it into an architectural plan. Our architects will help with the design by creating sketches for the floor plan sections, elevations, roof plan, overall layout, and door and window schedule, plus 3D renders.

If it’s a maisonette or a building with more than two floors, it will need a structural drawing that will be handled by our structural engineers. Their role is to design the house skeleton by advising on the type of foundation to be used, the column sizes, beams, walls, and other building elements that carry and transfer loads.

Once the house drawings are ready, our quantity surveyor will proceed to prepare a bill of quantities (BQ) for the materials and labor required to complete the project.

3.      Getting Approvals

Once the architectural design and the structural drawings are ready, it’s time to source for approvals before commencing the project. These approvals are managed by county governments, NEMA, and NCA. The whole process can be rigged by bureaucratic inefficiencies, regulatory complexities, and systematic challenges, which can be costly, time-wasting, and frustrating.

And this is where we come in by ensuring you submit complete documents that have been stamped by the necessary parties and help out with weekly follow-ups. And if there is an issue, we escalate it with the necessary authority to ensure your project gets approved on time for the construction to begin.
